5BEST COMPILATION OF THIS GENRE I"VE FOUND!!  Mar 05, 2011 By P.H. "blues lover"
If you're a fan of rockabilly but are put off by some of the more extreme forms of psychobilly; fear not. The people who put this together chose some of the rockinest, kick a** stuff i've heard. The title is in fact a little misleading as many of the songs are much more "rock" than "psycho". I was a little worried when i bought this that i'd end up with 2 discs of thrash, but that is definately NOT the case. Of the several rockabilly compilations i own this is by far the best. If you're a relative newcomer to rockabilly (like me) i would highly recomend this set.

5A Psychobilly Box to get you to Rock  Jun 01, 2009 By C. Jerome "Chris Unknown"
How great is this, well it is better than great, it has stuff so good on it, that I haven't seen anywhere else. If you like a litte punk mixed in how about Johny Ramones final session or Lemmy from Motorhead with johnny a couple of Stray Cats doing Good Rockin tonight. For that alone it is worth the price, but wait you have to hear the rest of the cd too. It hasn't left my deck. Get it you will not be disappointed.

4rockabilly, psychobilly and gothabilly assortment  Jul 05, 2011 By Thomas Raven
For the price of this download, you really can't go wrong, and there are some real gems here. Too bad they named it like they did. Serious psychobilly fans would probably prefer a harder, faster comp. This "box" has got all kinds of 'billy and most of it's pretty good. You do the math.

4Some Psychobilly -- mostly Rockabilly  Mar 01, 2012 By jay kenyon "jayhawkeye2"
the "punk" angle of this album seems overblown by the title. While there is some psychobilly/punkabilly songs, there is also a lot of true old school rockabilly. All great music, but check the track listing before you buy to make sure it is what you are looking for -- otherwise, just go out and buy the Cramps' discography

4Amazing set with some notable absenses.  May 15, 2011 By James Stevens "hobbies15"
The MP3 album price on this one is just too good to pass up. However, the album is really all over the place in terms of what's included.

This compilation does a pretty good job of showcasing rockabilly from the fifties to present. Notably absent are Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and probably a dozen more who were really important to the genre...but how much can you really pack into a two record set?

It seems strange that a compilation album with "Psychobilly" in the title would be missing groups like The Cramps, Poison Ivy and RHH.

Still, at just fifteen cents a track for some of the best rock ever, how can you go wrong?
