Description

Nekromantix are quite simply the premier psychobilly band in the world. Founded in 1989, over the course of six albums (three in the US), Nekromantix have inspired a generation of rockabilly and psychobilly bands, earned a Grammy nod, and spawned the immensely popular side project Horrorpops, who have scanned over 80,000 CDs in their own right. Now comes Life Is A Grave And I Dig It!!!, a return to the raw, driving sound of early classics like Return of the Loving Dead. Anchored by leader Kim Nekroman's thumping upright bass, Life Is A Grave And I Dig It!!perfectly delivers on Alternative Press' description of the band as "a 1950s date with Motorhead." With a headlining national tour out of the box - the 2007 incarnation of the wildly successful Hellcat tour - and a world-wide following from extensive touring in Japan, the US, and Europe, Nekromantix will continue to lead the pack, all the way to the boneyard!

4Nekromantix - 'Life Is A Grave & I Dig It!' (Hellcat)  Nov 20, 2009 By Mike Reed
Danish psychobilly trio - saw these guys open for Rob Zombie. Have to admit, they definitely rock out. Tunes that drew me in were "Horny In A Hearse", the Stray Cats-ish "My Girl", "Voodoo Shop Hop", "Flowers Are Slow" and the rocking "Fantazma". Line-up: Kim Nekroman - bass & vocals, Frano - guitar and Lux - drums. Should do a lot for fans and loyal followers of Reverend Horton Heat, the Cramps and Nerve Agents. Overall, not a bad pick.

4This vinyl=PICTURE DISC  Apr 22, 2011 By Erasedit
This is a review for the vinyl edition of Life Is a Grave and I Dig It. I love the actual album itself, and finally decided to get it on vinyl. I ordered it and when it arrived(very quickly thanks to Amazon Prime) I found out it was a picture disc. I personally don't care for picture discs, and this would have most likely factored into my decision had I known. After I researched it more I found out that this album was only on vinyl in picture disc form, so I've got no other options. I will add a picture of this product to the customer picture section to better inform future customers.

5Own it, NOW!  Sep 18, 2007 By Mr Champagne
Life Is A Grave and I Dig it! is a bonafide stone cold classic. NekroHigh takes me back to the the great lyrics and feel of Who Killed The Cheeleader. My Girl is the new Subcultural Girl for '07. Great.
Oh man, this CD rocks!

4A Worthy Album by Nekroman and his new crew  Sep 11, 2007 By Ivan Felix
Although this stuff isn't as good as anything from Brought Back to life or Return of the Loving Dead, the band's heading in a much better direction than it was in their previous album Dead Girls Don't Cry.
